Sakwala Chakraya: Stargate Portal or Oldest World Map?

For over 1,300 years, Anuradhapura served as the capital of Ceylon until it was left deserted in 993. For a significant period, the dense forest concealed the remarkable Sakwala Chakraya, a scientific and astrological landmark that is Sri Lanka’s only Stargate portal.

The phrase “Stargate Portal” usually brings to mind a fictional narrative. Generally, only scientists and stargazers entertain the possibility of dimensional travel. Nevertheless, numerous portals resembling Stargates have been discovered on Earth. Governments usually keep these portals concealed because they are potent energy vortexes. However, some places, such as Sri Lanka’s Sakwala Chakraya, remain accessible to tourists and visiting it might be your only chance at witnessing something as significant as a meteor’s monumental impact. While the intricacies of extragalactic astronomy remain a complex subject, the stories surrounding a particular rock that has supposedly been energised by Tantrik monks or serves as a gateway to other dimensions are likely mere myths and fables. However, this spot is undoubtedly a must-visit for anyone looking to broaden their horizons.

Royal Garden Anuradhapura

According to ancient texts, Sinhalese King Pandukabhaya founded Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka’s most sacred city, in 377 BC. As one of the oldest cities in the world, Anuradhapura is home to many important archaeological sites and is considered a holy pilgrimage site according to the new testament. At its peak, the city housed over 10,000 Buddhist Bhikkus and some of the world’s largest stupas. But before I went on to explore the stupas, I decided to delve into the city’s extragalactic connections. The meeting of the geomagnetic field and solar wind causes magnetic Stargates to open and shut countless times each day, as per NASA’s research. These portals differ in size and duration, with some being brief and others being extensive. There’s only one problem, finding them.

Anuradhapura, the sacred city of Sri Lanka, seems a rather odd location for a fanciful tale of UFOs and supernatural encounters. But the internet has been ablaze with theories that the chart-like engraving in Anuradhapura is, in fact, a Stargate, an ancient doorway that allows humans to enter the cosmos. Sakwala Chakraya, tucked away at the cliff’s edge, has managed to survive the fall of the Anuradhapura monarchy and blends in with the stunning surroundings. The stargate located in Ranmasu Uyana’s royal garden provides a fleeting glimpse into an alternate world, revealing the outbacks of a different dimension. Interestingly, the Stargate theory is based on an engraved arch with hieroglyphics found among Egypt’s desert ruins. The gateways in Anuradhapura, Hayu Marka, Abu Ghurab, and Egypt all share similar emblems and are situated near water. Even if extraterrestrials did visit Earth, they couldn’t have chosen a better location – the heart of an abandoned sacred temple grounds amidst dense, tropical forests. Despite its significance, there are no written records documenting its existence, leaving scholars puzzled about the origin of both the map and seats. HCP Bell, the first to recognize the map’s archaeological value, referred to Sakwala Chakraya as the oldest world map known to man. The hypothetical existence of a Stargate would revolutionise long-distance travel, enabling rapid transportation across intergalactic and extragalactic distances in a matter of seconds. Magnetic portals, such as X-points or electron diffusion zones, form where the magnetic fields of the Earth and the Sun overlap, allowing for swift journeys from our planet to the Sun’s atmosphere and beyond. The resulting influx of particles generates breathtaking polar auroras.

Sakwala Chakraya

According to legend, the Sakwala Chakraya is a symbol of the Universe’s mysteries. The activation of the Sakwala Chakraya portal may have facilitated the dissemination of Buddhism to otherworldly realms, with Tantrik monks utilising its dimensional routes for centuries to share their wisdom and knowledge. That piqued my curiosity, prompting me to not only visit the 40-acre urban park but also meditate there. During a walk in the royal garden with Preethi Priyadarsha De Silva, Chairman of Waasala Leisure, he shared that Ranmasu Uyana has a rich historical background, with stepwell-like structures dating back to 700 CE.

Preethi mentioned an ancient chart that may be from the same era, but its authenticity cannot be confirmed as it is not documented in any historical archives. He also described how Tantrik Buddhists use chanting and star alignment to successfully embark on inter-dimensional voyages using a wooden device. I decided to test the energy of a rock by telepathically interacting with it. The Sakwala Chakraya is a Sinhalese term for ‘Universe Cycle’ and refers to an etching on a rock face in a park. The etching is approximately 5 feet in circumference and includes a stargate and a cosmological map. The rock can only be viewed from ground level, but three carved seats on the parallel side offer a good vantage point.

The seating arrangement, however, does raise questions about whether this was a conference room or a meditation space. The rock sits against a pile of pebbles, and its map features seven concentric circles with symbols like pyramids, umbrellas, kites, bows and arrows, and fish, turtles, and seahorses. The Sakwala, the first layer, from which Maha Meru originates, is encompassed by seven oceans and rock formations that are partially submerged in the sea. The second layer illustrates the sun and moon on opposite sides of the Sakwala, surrounded by numerous planets represented by quadrants.

The circular lines are divided vertically into ten strips, ranging from 3 to 9 inches in width, with parallel lines separating them into dual or quadripartite sections. The outermost strips consist of a small circle split into quadrants and a phallic-shaped form. The second-to-last set of strips contains a small hoop in alignment, and the third set has four quadrants in each top and bottom section. On the fourth strip to the right, there are four more quadrants, each in its own partition. This ancient world map, which is believed to be the oldest of its kind, is a source of immense fascination that elicits curiosity with each display of logic.

A flustered design weaves together two umbrellas and a feather-like figure underneath the second ring of seven circles. The fifth strip is divided into eight parts, each containing a small circle with intersecting lines. A square and a wavy diagonal line run across the two upper-left sections. Sitting cross-legged in a Buddhist monk’s pose, I cleared my mind and focused on connecting with the centermost circle of Sakwala Chakraya. The thirty-minute experience was mind-altering, akin to a spiritual awakening. As the ground beneath me began to move, my spiritual energy surged, and I sensed a tangible connection to the element of Earth. This brief, transformative spiritual experience will remain etched in my memory forever.

Sakwala Chakraya Centre Circle

The whereabouts of Sakwala Chakraya remain unknown in historical records unlike other parks and stupas in Anuradhapura that date back to 250 BC. Moreover, the map illustration of Sakwala Chakraya is inconsistent with other carvings from the same period and lacks religious significance, which makes it difficult to interpret its purpose. However, its location near the Alien Mountain, Danigala Peak, in the sacred city of Polonnaruwa has led to speculation that it may have been related to UFO activity.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding its origin, the presence of Sakwala Chakraya in a remote corner of Anuradhapura attests to the astrological knowledge that was practised in Buddhist monasteries in ancient Sri Lanka. This diagram would have had a practical purpose, but it’s a great struggle to figure out what that may have been when you can’t date it accurately.

Without any inscriptions or artefacts to shed light on its purpose, the intriguing stargate of Sri Lanka remains shrouded in mystery. It seems that its true meaning will forever remain a mystery of the past. Despite having to leave the EMF radiator behind, I couldn’t shake off the captivating aura of Ranmasu Uyana and its unexplored wonders, making me eager to return to uncover more of its secrets.
