International Flights Stalled Till 30th September
India, at present, is going through progressive unlock in different phases. The lockdown inflicted in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak has been lifted and the government has announced Unlock 4.0 starting from 01st September. All inter and intra-state travel restrictions in the country were lifted in August. International travel, however, might be stalled, till 30th September aside from the Ministry of Home Affairs exceptions. As per the flying guidelines issued by the MHA on 29th August, no amendment notice has been rolled out. No specifying of commercial flight operations has been listed in the Unlock 4.0 guidelines.
As per the statement issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, on commuter transit for Unlock 4.0, the Director-General of Civil Aviation states, “Movement by passenger trains; domestic passenger air travel; a movement of a person on Vande Bharat and Air Transport Bubble flights; and sign-on and sign-off of Indian seafarers will continue to be regulated as per the SOPs issued.” Near the beginning of the opening, all flights concerning business were adjourned until 31st August.
Even though commercial flight services are not sanctioned until 30th September, public transport will begin to operate to relieve passengers’ distress. As per MHA, the Metro train services will resume from 7th September in a phased method.
