The Best Restaurants In Madhya Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh is the heart of India and a state defined by its rich culture and heritage. To date, Madhya Pradesh recites the tales of its regal inheritance through its ‘oofy’ cuisine. Although, only a few fine-dine luxury excavations in MP deliver an authentic menu. During my several visits to the state, I had the chance to eat at some of the most inspiring restaurants that serve traditional cuisine inspired by the contrasting flavours of Malwa and its neighbouring states. These best restaurants stand out to please even the most difficult of all palates. But I love them because they bring to the table – everything from the lost regal recipes depicting ancient Malwa to oriental cuisines portraying the best of Asia.
Zaaiqa, Bhopal
Zaaiqa is the speciality restaurant of the Noor-Us-Sabah Palace hotel in Bhopal. This restaurant welcomes you to an intricately carved Mughlai decor and perfectly cooked Indian cuisine. From my perspective, Zaaiqa is a perfect place to recreate a Nawabi dining experience with unmatched culinary finesse in Bhopal. Smeared with royal quintessence, Zaaiqa, not only, features the best of elaborate teak work from the bygone era but also churns out food that makes every connoisseur travel back in time. When here, order the authentic Peshawari and Mughlai cuisine.
Indiya Oye, Radisson Indore
Another enthralling restaurant serving royal cuisine in Madhya Pradesh is Indiya Oye by Radisson Indore. Cloaked in colourful Indian decor, Indiya Oye welcomes you to a traditional setting with a sophisticated ambience. Most days, Gazals (Live music), establishes the right atmosphere for enjoying some good food. It’s onerous to not, get charmed by the designs and menu of Indiya Oye, both starring disparate elements to win your heart.

The interiors are a compact work of elegance, decorated with centuries-old vases and arms whereas, the open-air outdoor space features a large garden, facing Bhopal lake on one side, the pool in the middle and the city on the other end. The artefacts add an oomph to the inside and the natural landscapes to the outside. Irrespective of where you choose to seat yourself, the food at Marble Arch is guaranteed to capture one’s heart. Dine amidst breathtaking views where once the royals ate with their families!

These festivals allow visiting guests to get a taste of the regional flavours. Indore residents swarm the food festivals for the love of the local flavourings!
Dynasty, Bhopal
Talking about Asian cuisine, another restaurant that sparked my interest with its interesting flavours is Dynasty in Bhopal. Situated inside the royal residence of Noor Us Sabah Palace, Dynasty is one of Bhopal’s finest restaurants worth taking a trip to! If authentic Asian cuisine thrills your tastebuds then Dynasty has a PAN Asian menu you can’t resist. The interiors match the menu, and even though the restaurant, is set in a compact space, its Eastern decorations such as the hanging pagodas, the Japanese ceilings pair well, with their creatively well-defined menu. When here, don’t forget to taste the delectable Swan Chee, Honey glazed sesame chicken, Semur Ayam, Zacatousi and the Tsinghua style potato with golden corn.
Ni Hao, Radisson Indore
Situated on the 1st-floor of Radisson Blu, Ni Hao is a fine-dine restaurant that specialises in Pan Asian cuisine. The speciality restaurant, Ni Hao, welcomes you to a wall of kettles, earthen pots featuring a compact indoor dining as well as a perked up outdoor dining area. The menu ranges from sushi to dumplings and is positively worth giving a shot.
TCK, Radisson Indore
The Creative Kitchen (TCK) is Radisson’s Blu all-day dining restaurant in Indore where you will find an incredible array of delicious dishes. From a fascinating A la carte to an intriguing buffet, this restaurant has it all. My personal favourite at TCK is their three-course continental set menu which demonstrates the best of Mediterranean. Go for the buffet shall you like to devour authentic Indori cuisine sprinkled with local spices.
