Araliya Green Hills Resort in Nuwara Eliya
Nuwara Eliya, a charming tea city in central Sri Lanka, is surrounded by lush greenery. I stayed at Araliya Green Hills Resort near the Seetha Amman Temple during my travel with Sri Lanka Tourism Board to this hilly city. This exciting four-star luxury hotel, perched on a hill, overlooks the Nuwara Eliya Golf Course on one side and the racecourse on the other. Both of these fascinating locations are within walking distance of the accommodation.
Arriving at this magnificent hotel, on the other hand, brings back the true charm of Nuwara Eliya. With its white-washed architectural style decorated with green sloping roofs, Araliya Hill Resort gives off a British period vibe. Only when you enter the opulent lobby does the colonial feel gently and gradually transform into a Sri Lankan clique. The entryway of this bizarre resort opens to reveal two large wooden elephants with intricate carvings.
With a beautifully carved backdrop, this effect extends to the reception. The entrance to the waiting lounge is on the opposite side, where guests can relax in extravagantly rich’ seating. This waiting area is flanked by in-house stores selling the finest Sri Lankan goods. You may get anything from sarees to tea to masks at these stores. The check-in process is also quick! Meanwhile, the waitstaff will provide you with a warm hand towel and a hot cup of tea to help you recover from your long travel.
The Araliya Green Hills luxury accommodations are unlike any other. Each room is a sanctuary of pure luxury and comfort, designed to soothe and indulge your senses. The well-designed rooms have a spacious bed, work desk, extra seating space, huge TV, walk-in closet with bathrobes and ironing board, baggage desk, and tea/coffee facilities, among other amenities.
The ensuite bathroom, on the other hand, is a little cramped but has a clean bathtub, plenty of towels, and complimentary amenities.
During my stay at Araliya Hills Resort, I had a delicious dinner and breakfast in The Glen Fall Restaurant, which can seat up to 170 people. You may enjoy a superb gourmet assortment of Eastern and Western food at the Glen Fall restaurant. The cuisine is cooked to perfection by award-winning chefs to rejuvenate your tastebuds. Green Hills understands how to pamper your taste buds and their well-trained chefs prepare all of the dishes suitable for royalty.
They provide everything from sophisticated fusion cuisine to a wide range of quick bites. They also have a coffee shop that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Room service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for those who want to dine in their rooms. While you’re here, check out their pool and rooftop bar, which has a fantastic wine selection.
Overall, Araliya Green Hills is a lavish retreat in the heart of Nuwara Eliya. This is the place to stay if you’re looking for exquisite amenities and maximum pleasure in this tea city. This hotel was a pure delight for me, a haven of luxury and convenience.
