Achrol Niwas: A Luxurious Stay at 2200 sq. ft. Pool Villa
After a long day of sightseeing in Neemrana, and an exciting 2.5-hour drive from TreeHouse Resort & Caravan Park, we rolled up to Achrol Niwas at 9.30 pm – and what a welcome we got! The staff had set up a bonfire with a platter of delicious kebabs and drinks – and that was just the beginning of our adventure! Jayant, took us on a wild, bumpy, midnight safari through the dry-grass-filled desert near Achrol Niwas, where we marvelled at the stars and took in the sights. Nestled among a beautiful forested setting, this hotel provides its guests with the unique opportunity to bask in the majestic beauty of Jaipur, while still being able to indulge in the utmost of luxuries.
If you’re looking for a luxurious, one-of-a-kind experience that merges modern resort living with the nostalgia of times gone by, then cross Achrol Niwas, a Treehouse Hotel in Jaipur, off your bucket list!
“Achrol Niwas was ahead of its time when it opened up in 2015. This was essentially a property where not too much was happening around it so we had to create a destination. And Achrol was not such a destination and weekends had not become very popular but we knew that is something that people might just start going forward so our first target segment was to get the weekenders there – from Jaipur and Delhi. Second thing was to get the corporate conferences there! And after that, post-pandemic we started catering to the wedding business and since people were looking for secluded places, which were not in the centre of the city so Achrol Niwas took off from there and has now become a preferred destination for weekend getaways, corporate outings and as a wedding destination,” tell us Mr Jayant Singh Sisodiya, the Managing Director of Treehouse Hotels.
After a delicious dinner, we were finally able to retreat to our pool villa for a well-deserved, restful sleep. My holiday in pool villa 4 was a sheer delight! With its grandiose and majestic surroundings, the Villa was commodious and resplendently stocked with complimentary amenities, as well as superior luxuries such as a private pool! With handcrafted interiors, luxurious amenities, and impeccable service, Achrol Niwas is the ideal destination for a luxurious escape.
Spanning an impressive 2200 sq.ft., it was equipped with a truly lavish master bedroom, complete with a plush king-size bed, comfy cushioned seating, a small work desk, TV, telephone, tea/coffee making facilities and a cosy washroom with a stunning marble bathtub and walk-in wardrobe. Plus, there was an exclusive private pool to ensure complete privacy!
The following morning, I was awoken by the delightful aroma of the Rajasthani breakfast presented poolside. I was certainly delighted by the spread: samosa kachoris, Poori Bhaji, Kadhi and a delectable platter of fresh fruits with fruit juice and tea. Although I’m a coffee drinker, I couldn’t resist the temptation of the local tea. It was simply too delicious to pass up. Enjoy a thrilling AVR ride, go hot-air ballooning, and discover the delightful attractions around you. After all the fun, recharge with a meal at the hotel’s in-house restaurant and bar.
Lunch at Achrol Niwas was a treat for my taste buds, and I had the pleasure of enjoying a delightful Rajasthani meal crafted by the masterful Chef Lakshman. The amazing Daal Baati Churma was loaded with flavour, and the richness brought on by the Ghee and Gud made it a meal that I won’t soon forget. Of course, there were also the other components of the meal – Gatte ki Sabzi, Kadhi, Aaloo pyaz, Mirchi ki tarpole, Lehsoon ki chutney and Chaas – to ensure my appetite was thoroughly satisfied.
After lunch, I was taken to the quaint Achrol Village by the staff of Achrol Niwas. We explored the market, where I met bangle makers, carpenters, and pottery artisans. I also caught a glimpse of the grand Achrol Palace gate and the majestic Shiv Temple.
On our way back, we paid a visit to the security guard’s humble abode, which offered a true glimpse into rural tourism – from traditional mud houses to vast agricultural lands and even some livestock! To top it off, the warm locals even served us tea before we left.
Upon my return from the Achrol Village, the staff of Achrol Niwas welcomed me with a delightful round of tea, sandwiches and Pakodas by their open-air swimming pool, offering a stunning view of Achrol Fort and the neighbouring mountain range. It was a real treat to watch the sky change its colours, with hundreds of birds flying back home as the sun set.
I was in for a treat when Achrol Niwas served up Khumb Masala Tikka, Dum Biryani, Lal Maas, Ker Sangri, Dal Makhani, Sev Tamatar and Paneer Kadhai for dinner. Rajasthan is known to serve heavy, ghee-laden dishes for all meals, so if you’re ever there, make sure to take a few extra laps around the block to ensure you can digest it all. To top it off, I had a delicious serving of Ghevar and Gulab Jamun to end my visit – and let’s just say I was ready to take a few extra laps around the block to digest that too!
With its lush gardens, cosy atmosphere and hospitable staff, Achrol Niwas made for the perfect escape from the hectic city life. I’m sure this experience will remain etched in my mind forever! After a memorable trip to Achrol, I departed in the morning for Bhiwadi to explore yet another property of TreeHouse Hotels.
