One Asia: Indore Marriott’s PAN Asian Restaurant
The Indore Marriott is soon set to launch the tantalizingly delicious One Asia, its new Pan-Asian restaurant. They’ve gone all out to ensure the tastebuds of their guests are tantalized with delight and have drafted in Chef Hemant Sharki, formerly employed at the world-renowned China House at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai. To get a sneak peek of the delectable treats in store, I was invited by the Indore Marriott to sample some of One Asia’s upcoming cocktails and dishes. The evening kicked off with an intriguing scotch cocktail that was presented in a glass box enveloped in a mesmerizing smoke.

The Untold Story & Exotic Whiskey Blend
The Untold Story, as its name suggests, is an enthralling Scotch cocktail that tantalizes your taste buds with its fiery and intense flavours of baked citrus and cinnamon. But that’s not all; its unique whiskey blend is an absolute treat for your palate! I sampled this mixologist-special herbed cocktail, but nothing compared to the exquisite experience of The Untold Story. It left me wanting more! And I must say, the culinary voyage was just as delightful!
PAN Asian Delicacies at One Asia
My “will-order-again” list is filled with amazing dishes, like the majestic white & black dim sum, Asian king prawns and sesame seed balls. Each of these oriental delicacies is so unique, artistic and fun to eat! Although, I was truly wowed by the extraordinary metallic glaze of the white and black dim sums. When I asked chef Hemant Sharki the secret behind the glaze, he revealed that he hand-crushes sesame powder to form the gorgeous black-coloured finish. And the Asian style king prawns, which are often served during Chinese festivities, are no less! Slathered with ginger, garlic, and spring onions, these prawns are bursting with flavour, yet still mild enough to tantalise your taste buds.
One Asia truly is a remarkable restaurant/bar to enjoy an intimate meal or for corporate executives and entrepreneurs to host meetings in style. With a sophisticated décor and contemporary designs, the atmosphere is simply exquisite. Not to mention, there is a robust menu of delicious food, signature cocktails and unparalleled hospitality! To top it all off, I had the pleasure of trying the classic Chinese sesame seed balls, Jian Dui – a delectable fried pastry filled with lotus paste, and coated with crispy sesame seeds. It was the perfect way to conclude my Asian dining experience. Special thanks to Devesh Rawat, GM of Indore Marriott, for organising such a magnificent space!
